Artist Biography 

Born in Bydgoszcz, Poland, Basia entered the world of music at a very young age, attending a kindergarten focused on the arts, which provided her with her first big performance as a soloist for the 650th anniversary of the Old Town Square in Bydgoszcz. Taking an interest in piano at the age of six, she began taking private lessons and continued her classical piano studies in Missio Musica after moving to Warsaw. Not long after this, she began studying voice under the instruction of professor Katarzyna Winiarska and in 2010 won the Przebojowy Muzyk competition under the vocal category. Moving to the US in 2011, she attended Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, California, where she performed with the school choir as well as a Polish club outside of school. By her senior year of high school, she became dually enrolled as a student of the California Baptist University, performing with the University choir and continuing her piano and vocal studies. She also started studying under leadership of Mikolaj Stroinski, composer for games such as "The Witcher". 

In 2014, she got accepted into the University of North Texas, where she pursued a degree in Jazz Studies and studied with professors Jennifer Barnes and Rosana Eckert. At UNT she has had the opportunity to attend the workshops of numerous renowned artists such as members of the Hi-Lo’s, The Manhattan Transfer, Singers Unlimited, among many others, as well as the privilege to share the stage with artists such as ten-time Grammy Award winner Bobby McFerrin.

Currently Basia lives in Boston, MA and attends the prestigious Berklee College of Music where she is pursuing a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production with a minor in Creative Enterprenuership . In 2016, Basia has been selected amongst 4 thousand students to record her arrangement of “We Don’t Talk Anymore” by Charlie Puth in order to represent the school on the official Berklee YouTube channel and website. In May 2017 Basia won the Berklee Music 2020 entrepreneurship award for her innovative app idea which she is currently developing with programmers from MIT. On June 19th, Basia released her debut EP produced by Paulina Kaczyńska, and engineered by Andres Gonzalez Cardona. Her EP features many of the top Berklee musicians including Jesus Molina, Pera Krstajic, Nate Winn, and many others. 

She was interview on the National News Network in Poland, which surpassed 3 million viewers. She was also interviewed on the main radio station in Poland in August 2017. 

In October 2017 she became an official ambassador for ZYLIA microphone company and she represented mic and performed at NAMM in 2018 in Los Angeles. 

She is currently a project manager of Career Jam 2018, vice president of Student Entrepreneurship Association and co-organizer of first TED talk at Berklee College of Music.
